Daytona?! Yes, please! I don’t mind! Invited to the land of sand, sun, and racing is a beach lover’s dream! Lived it and loved it? You bet. This was the perfect location for a review. Everything, and I literally mean EVERYTHING, was within 10 minutes of where I was located. I was there at the perfect time as well. I got there and returned home a few days before a big race was to be held, so nothing was crowded!
This review was held at Daytona State College. Daytona State College is located about 2 miles from the Daytona International Speedway (fun, right?!) The campus is quite large and very nice. They have multiple buildings and partner with the hospital next door as their medical programs’ clinical site. There is great accessibility and convenience to medical care, food, and shopping. The review was held in the school’s Sciences building where their nursing department is located.
The majority of the students from this review were graduates or current students of Daytona State College. There were also a few students from neighboring schools. This group was very engaged and knowledgeable. We even had some additional fun on the last day of the review, by making a recorded birthday shout-out for the founder of our company! They were very patient with me, because we had to do a few additional takes before we got it right!
After completing this review, I had the pleasure of spending one more night in Daytona. I had dinner at my favorite Daytona spot, The Crab Stop II and went to the beach! Again, it was perfect because there were no crowds! A great ending to a wonderful review and week in Daytona! I would like to thank the faculty, staff, and students of Daytona State College for welcoming me and allowing me to teach in such a wonderful place!
