Hey y’all! A few weeks ago, I traveled to Statesboro, Georgia to teach at Georgia Southern University. Statesboro is located about 1 hour NW from Savannah. Statesboro is a quaint, college town. Great food, atmosphere, and leisure are readily available. The shopping isn’t half bad either!
Georgia Southern University’s campus is beautiful and loaded with a mix of Southern and modern charm. It’s obvious that my GSU friends like to eat, as do I. There are a number of restaurants on campus, giving students, faculty, and visitors plenty of options.
The nursing students at GSU were a HUGE group. This group, to date, was the largest group I have ever taught. The auditorium style seating was not necessarily ideal for the students, but we had a wonderful review regardless. This group has overcome tremendous heartache and loss. Last year, near the end of the school year, 5 GSU nursing students were killed and 2 others injured in a car accident. I could only imagine how difficult that news must have been for the entire program.
This group was a delight to teach. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and loved candy! It was my absolute pleasure to teach this review. I am very grateful and thankful to the faculty, staff, and students of GSU for affording me the opportunity to teach at their lovely campus.
Go Eagles,
A.G.
