Let me first start by apologizing for the lack of visual entertainment in this post! I was so busy (and so distracted,) that I didn’t take a single picture for this post while I was in Tampa. I didn’t even realize it until it was too late. I was already Orlando bound, headed to retreat.
A few weeks ago, my work travels led me to teach at South University in Tampa, Florida. I loved this review for many reasons. One….well, it’s Florida! I mean, Florida is perfect for the summertime! Another reason is Florida students are usually VERY fun! I had such a blast teaching this review!
South University is a small, private institution located directly across the street from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ training facility. It is also just a minute or two away from the stadium. I am so glad that this review was during the off season, so traffic wasn’t an issue. I didn’t make it to Busch Gardens (great theme park in Tampa) either. The Kumba (the best roller coaster I have ever been on) was calling my name! I’ll make it back to you one day!
The students that comprised this review were mainly from South University, but we also had a few from neighboring institutions. This group was ready for any and everything. They were so prepared, that when we had technical difficulties due to a pop-up thunderstorm, we were able to continue on without a hitch! They were motivated, eager to learn, and very energetic. This type of group just makes teaching fun and easy!
I would like to thank the faculty, staff, and students of South University for being such gracious hosts (and for showing me that Panera Bread was literally right across the street!) It was an honor to teach at your institution and I look forward to teaching there again in the future!
Looking forward to round 2 and lots of photos,
A.G.
